Position Purpose

At Cambay Consulting our consultants work closely with a wide range of clients around the globe to deliver exceptional experiences by helping them identify their business pains, then turning around to develop and implement useful and relevant technology-based solutions to meet those needs. Utilizing the Cambay Consulting 360 model as a guide, our consultants take clients on a journey through strategy, implementation, customization, and support, ensuring exceptional customer experience at every step of the way.

The Project Manager is the customer focal point and responsible for management of system implementations, including, but not limited to the following: project planning, project management, relationship building and the successful project delivery of the customer approved statement of work. A successful Project Manager must be able to manage several concurrent projects, including medium and large projects, with differing technical solutions, must be a self-starter and work with minimal direction. The Project Manager must be able to work effectively with assigned project resources, resource managers, account executives, customer account managers, pre-sales engineers and support. Travel and after-hours work are required for this position.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate professionalism and leadership in representing Cambay Consulting
  • Establish and nurture productive and satisfactory relationships with customers, providing customer-focused and responsive support to their business needs
  • Function as the primary point of contact for the client for all project-related activities
  • Able to present, whiteboard and discuss the Cambay Consulting Project Implementation Methodology at an elevated level, diligently follow the process when performing project management tasks, and provide clear and constructive feedback for continuous improvement in the Implementation Methodology to Project Management Leadership
  • Create and manage a formal project plan, including Project Timeline; Communication Plan; Work Plan / Task List; Training Plan; Test Plan; Resource Allocation Schedule; Project Change Management Plan and Risk Management Plan
  • Manage the execution of all components of approved project plan, including coordination and management of all project deliverables and timeline; regular communication of project progress, including scope, schedule and cost; budget control and project cost reporting; test and training plans; documentation and approval of any changes to scope; timeline or cost via the project change management process; documentation and approval of completion of key project milestones and project acceptance; ongoing risk assessment and vendor coordination
  • Maintain internal system and process updates, including but not limited to:
    • Project status updates to current project tracking systems.
    • Update appropriate Cambay Consulting project collaboration tools regularly with project assets and documentation, both for project team collaboration and long-term asset management
    • Update project resource booking plans on a weekly basis, or as changes are known, and completely new project scheduling and booking plans with urgency.
    • Finance updates for end of month billing & project percent completion for revenue recognition, including collection assistance were needed
    • Weekly accurate and timely submission of project time worked
    • Accurate and timely submission of expense reports
    • Active participation in team meetings, solution area specific review sessions and business unit and company meetings
  • When appropriate, collaborate with clients to develop design specifications, business needs, and other factors that impact operational requirements and the end customer experience
  • Maintain role and/or individually assigned target employee utilization goal.
  • Achieve role and individually assigned team goals, including but not limited to Cambay Consulting referenceable customer, project change order revenue and project KPI result targets.

Education and Experience

The minimum level of education and experience required to perform the job or equivalent work experience

 

Work Environment 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work primarily in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be prone to sitting for lengthy periods of time. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision. Lifting requirements may be required to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.

 

Employee is required to travel to business and customer locations, locally up to 50% and nationally up to 25%.
