Position Purpose

As a Data & AI Senior Consultant, you will elevate Cambay Consulting’s relationships with our clients by approaching them through a customer experience lens and architecting bleeding-edge technology solutions which address their business challenges. In addition, you will be a thought leader both internally and externally, always embodying our core values of innovation, passion, excellence, and integrity.

As an Intelligence Senior Consultant, you will share responsibility, assisted by a solution architect, for designing and implementing analytic data storage solutions for use in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Machine Learning, and Data Science. ETL/ELT experience is critical. The candidate must have deep domain expertise in one or more of the data-specific areas, such as Azure SQL Server, Data Lakes (e.g. ADLS Gen2), Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, etc.. Experience with Analytic Services, Power BI, and Azure Machine Learning is helpful.

Key Accountabilities

• Develops sustainable business relationships with clients, gaining increased knowledge of their needs and challenges to implement effective solutions through Cambay Consulting offerings.
• Presents project vision, architecture, and strategy to clients while driving transformation and innovation in medium-large client organizations.
• Assists business development with project requirements. Develops related estimates and aids in completing the Scope of Work (SOW).
• Demonstrates concern for meeting client needs in a manner that provides satisfaction and excellent results for the client, leading to additional opportunities within the client account.
• Conducts related needs analysis and gathers client requirements. Successfully installs, configures, deploys, and customizes Cambay Consulting Solutions for multiple clients.
• Creates and/or conducts testing to validate those solutions meet specifications of the SOW. Ensures assigned projects are delivered in alignment with Cambay Consulting best practices.
• Demonstrates leadership responsibilities on projects of diverse sizes. For example, may assist the team manager with project identification and assignment as needed. Ensures consultants are aware of timelines associated with assigned tasks.
• Follows industry technology trends through self-study and formal training and shares that knowledge internally and externally via white papers, blog posts, and social media.
• Completes at minimum one (1) certification exam a year.
• Creates, maintains, and submits an accurate weekly timesheet in compliance with time reporting procedures.
• Contributes to the financial success of the company by maintaining at high utilization number.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• This role focuses on Analytic Data Storage and Processing as well as Azure Services. There is a specific focus on implementing a data architecture and data services as part of a larger Intelligence and Analytics solution. You will develop deep relationships with key customer Software Engineering and IT decision makers.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience and proficiency in various of the following areas:
  • ETL / ELT Development is critical. Knowledge in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake and Serverless technologies is the core of this position.
  • Designing and implementing effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve data in intelligence and analytics workloads.
  • Assisting clients, stakeholders, and others in discovering requirements, solution planning, road mapping, and documentation.
  • Implementing low-latency and high throughput systems.
  • Developing Azure based cloud data storage using Azure SQL Server, ADLS Gen2, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, etc.
  • Integration using APIs, data flows, pipelines, ADF, and other Azure based technologies.
  • Experience in RDBMS is a must. Knowledge in NoSQL and Bigdata storage systems is desirable.
  • Database administration, optimization, data security, auditing, and monitoring
  • Good knowledge in SQL / TSQL scripting
  • .NET and PowerShell scripting is desirable

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field preferred. Master’s a plus.
• Some experience performing pre-sales activities along with 3+ years’ experience working with relevant Microsoft technologies in a professional services environment.
• Minimum of 1 year project leadership experience is desirable. Must be comfortable working with, leading, and learning from others.
• Certification in relevant Microsoft discipline(s) preferred.

Work Environment
